Root Canal Cover Up

I love the synchronicity.  When I’m researching an aspect of natural health and the latest issue of “What Doctor’s Don’t Tell You” arrives in the mail, I find they’re covering the same subject!

The WDDTY article covers the toxicity of fillings and the fact that the FDA have finally admitted what everyone else has known for decades – that dental fillings contain toxic materials.  The WDDTY article also covers the link between periodontal disease and the heart, cancer, diabetes, birthing problems, pneumonia, mortality and mental declined.

It’s really valuable information for those of you who like to maintain their health as best they can in advance of any deteriorating conditions arising.

In this article I want to briefly address the link between your teeth and the functions within your body.  By doing this I hope to convince you to at least consider the state of your teeth and gums in relation to your overall health.

pt.jpgYour teeth aren’t just your teeth.

Think of a piano where each tooth is a key.  The key is pressed and it causes a hammer to strike a note which creates a vibration and a sound.  Each key produces a different sound.

Your teeth are connected by nerves to your brain.  These nerves send nerve impulses or messages to specific parts of the body. It’s rare if this basic information is taught in dental school.  Some of my school friends went to dental school and were taught that an infection in the mouth can go to the heart.  No other place in the body was ever considered despite it being well documented over 5000 years ago in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Sir William Osier, a founding father of modern medicine, said” the mouth is the mirror to the body.”

A vital relationship exists between your teeth and your sense organs, joints, spinal segments, vertebrae, organs and endocrine glands. Put into more technical phraseology, the oral acupuncture points are related with the system of acupuncture meridians, or ‘energy highways’. When a particular acupuncture meridian becomes stressed, the corresponding oral acupuncture point(s) become sensitive to localized pressure.

Here’s what the link between teeth and other parts of the body looks like:

TeethChart3.jpg

This relationship is so strong that an experienced dentist can accurately guess your dental history by finding out your past or present physical symptoms.

Root canals create disturbing energetic blocks in the body, leading to the interruption of organ function.  If a person has a weak internal organ, a root canal performed on the associated meridian tooth could make it considerably more problematic.

What happens to this tooth-organ connection when the tooth is extracted?                               Look at the tooth in a specific region or area of the chart, not just the tooth itself.  For example the lower first molar is connected to the stomach meridian.  If it is the right molar the pancreas can be affected. The left molar could have an influence on the spleen.

So how does the infection of a tooth, which included the gum and bone around the tooth, affect the organ?  Visualize this connection as an electrical circuit in your house.  With infection there is a disturbance in the energy or electrical circuit. The result is a pain in the tooth or a problem in the corresponding organ. If the circuitry is over loaded, the fuse gets blown.  If it is not the fuse your electrician has to look further, the same is true with your dentist.

Root Canal work

These are well worth avoiding at all costs, but first let’s look at what root canals are for…

“A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected.  Root canal procedures are performed when the nerve of the tooth becomes infected or the pulp becomes damaged. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed.

Root canal procedures have the reputation of being painful. Actually, most people report that the procedure itself is no more painful than having a filling placed. The discomfort experienced in the period leading up to a seeking of dental care is truly the painful period of time, not the root canal procedure itself.”

Sounds pretty straightforward to readers doesn’t it?  Well the truth is very different.

Given the relationship your teeth have with the rest of your body a root canal treatment will have considerable impact elsewhere in the body – including degenerative diseases, a spread of bacterial streptococcus, staphylococcus, and spirochetes (a parasite), that attacks tooth enamel and can  escape into the bloodstream through root canal filling materials, and more.

Although many dental groups claim that these beliefs are outdated and are based upon old root canal techniques done decades ago, why is it that responsible holistic dentists remain adamant that they will not carry out root canal work.

Dr Weston Price’s book ‘Root Canal Cover Up’:  read a summary written by George Meining.

If you or anyone in your family have been told they need to have root canal treatment, please read this first so you/they can make a better informed decision.

Back as far as 1833, Surgeon-Dentist John Nicholles’, in his book ‘The Teeth in Relation to Beauty, Voice and Health wrote…

“The tendency of tartar is to separate the teeth from the gums, to loosen them in their sockets, to irritate the contiguous parts, and to produce inflammation.  The tendency of the accumulation of particles of food is to undergo the putrefactive process, to cat upon the enamel, and to penetrate the bone, causing toothache and destroying the teeth.  Nor does the evil rest here; diseases of these parts, like all other local affections produce derangements of the various bodily functions.  Simple caries of the teeth will sometimes give rise to what the French have called tic douloureux* to disorders of the ear, of the stomach and other organs; it has even been known to set up excruciating pain in the limbs analogous to rheumatism.”

* tic douloureux, though exceedingly painful, is nothing more than the irritation of certain nerves of the face, and in most cases proceeds originally from the teeth

What can you do about it?  The best answer is prevention.  It’ll save you pain and it’ll save you a fortune in dental bills.

Blotting Brushes

Resources For Life Ltd is the official UK supplier of Dr Phillips’ Blotting Brushes.  His ‘Blotting Technique ‘was first introduced to us when Phylipa was visiting her dentist Dr. Jamie Azdair* (see paragraph at end) in Pasadena.  He told Phylipa about them in 1991 and we’ve used them ever since.

No toothpaste is needed with this technique and all you need to do is gently dab or ‘blot’ the teeth and gums.  No moving the brush from side to side or up and down; just ‘blot’.  The bristles have a high capillary action that draws plaque up into them.  Tap the brush against the side of the basin and start blotting again.  Blotting the gums is so important.  When we brush our teeth we address only our teeth – and teeth make up just 10% of our mouth. Can you remember when you last cleaned your gums or tongue? This massaging action stimulates the gum into health, that otherwise remain neglected.

Full details of the Blotting Brush are on our website.  The brushes are an inexpensive option and can make such a difference to the state of your oral health.

Client Feedback

I feel secure in now again having a source of the Blotting Brushes.  Please feel free to use my endorsement of the Blotting Brush. I am 79 years old, and I have all my teeth but one. I started using the Blotting Brush in 1976.

Dr. Phillips is truly a pioneer of his time. When my family and I took his class, we did not know what to expect. What could we learn further that might help save our teeth and gums that we must already know from many years of consistent dental care in the traditional sense. We were truly in for a lifetime of knowledge on how important Blotting would be for our entire lives! Doc Phillips showed what having a CLEAN mouth could do for the life of our teeth. I now have a grown family and still – daily – practice what I learned from Dr. Phillips. I have all of my own teeth – and hopefully will continue to strive for this purpose the remainder of my years.

Thank you for taking so much time to answer my questions, explain things to me and for all the information. You were helpful and now I know that possibly some of my qualms about typical dental care were right. Now, I have some hope.              Deborah Turner

Dr. Jamie Azdair* married Grace Slick’s daughter China.  In the late ‘60s and early ‘70s Grace Slick was the lead singer/writer with The Great Society which became Jefferson Airplane which became Jefferson Starship which became Starship.  She was drop-dead gorgeous with a voice made in Heaven and could write wonderfully penetrative songs.  I was blown away when I saw them play at the Bath Festival in 1970 alongside Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, The Byrds, Santana, John Mayall, Pink Floyd, Donovan, Led Zeppelin, Hot Tuna, Country Joe and the Fish, Canned Heat, Dr John the Night Tripper, Steppenwolf, Johnny Winter and many others.  The Bath Festival became what is now known as Glastonbury.  Anyway I will be eternally grateful to Jamie for arranging to have Grace autograph every one of my Great Society and Jefferson Airplane LP’s.    I just wanted to get that important piece of information in   -   Graeme
